ARREST FOR ASSAULT WITH A DEADLY WEAPON

On April 1, 2013, a report was made to the Fountain Valley Police Department regarding a brandishing of a firearm in the 17000 block of Flame Tree Circle. Investigation revealed an assault occurred as a result of a neighbor dispute.

National Prescription Drug Take Back results from April 27, 2013

The Drug Enforcement Agency, in conjunction with state and local law enforcement agencies throughout the United States conducts National Prescription Drug Take Back Days. The City of Fountain Valley participated in the National Prescription Take Back Day on April 27, 2013. 118 pounds of prescription medication was disposed of at the Fountain Valley Police Department.

BANK ROBBERY ARREST

On Friday April 19, 2013 at 4:49 p.m. the Fountain Valley Police Department responded to a call of a robbery at the CITI Bank located at 17400 Brookhurst Street. A suspect had entered the bank and handed the bank teller a note demanding money. After receiving cash from the teller, the suspect fled from the bank and was last seen running south through the parking lot.
