Fountain Valley Police Department has been awarded a new traffic safety grant for an anti-DUI program aimed at preventing deaths and injuries on Fountain Valley roadways. Copper Theft Suspect Arrested

On October 29, 2013 the Fountain Valley Police Department Detective Bureau and Crime Suppression Unit concluded a copper theft investigation and arrested Brian Colin, 27, from Riverside.
On October 12, 2013 Colin climbed onto the rooftop of a business in the 17000 block of Magnolia in Fountain Valley and removed copper from air conditioning units. A witness observed... View Article
National Prescription Drug Take Back Day scheduled for October 26, 2013

Drug abuse continues to be a problem that impacts young and old alike. Studies show that the majority of abused prescription drugs are obtained from family and friends, including the home medicine cabinet. In an effort to address this issue, DEA, in conjunction with state and local law enforcement agencies throughout the United States conducts National Prescription Drug Take Back Days.

On 7-11-13 the Fountain Valley Police Department arrested Scott Ruvolo, 56 years of age from Victorville, after he was attempting to record women changing in the dressing room at the Salvation Army thrift store located at 16119 Brookhurst in Fountain Valley.
A search of Ruvolo’s cell phone revealed he recorded two additional unidentified female victims... View Article
Two Arrested for Assault

On 10-12-13 at 7:48 pm, Fountain Valley Police responded to the 8900 block of Nightingale Ave. after receiving a report of several subjects fighting in the street. Officers arrived and detained multiple people in front of, and ultimately inside a home.
