On Friday April 19, 2013 at 4:49 p.m. the Fountain Valley Police Department responded to a call of a robbery at the CITI Bank located at 17400 Brookhurst Street. A suspect had entered the bank and handed the bank teller a note demanding money. RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY ARRESTS

Between January 18 and March 13 the cities of Huntington Beach and Fountain Valley experienced a large number of residential burglaries during the nighttime hours. These burglaries occurred in a five square mile area of the southwest portion of Fountain Valley and the southeast region of Huntington Beach.

On Sunday March 3, 2013, at 3:30am, the Fountain Valley Police Department responded to another attempted residential burglary at the 10600 block of El Silbido. Suspect(s) unsuccessfully attempted to gain entry into a rear sliding door. Suspect(s) fled the scene when the homeowner turned on the interior lights to the residence. The victim waited fifteen minutes before calling the police.

On February 23, 2013, the Fountain Valley Police Department responded to five attempted residential burglaries in the 10700 block of El Picador and El Gorra.
