On Friday April 19, 2013 at 4:49 p.m. the Fountain Valley Police Department responded to a call of a robbery at the CITI Bank located at 17400 Brookhurst Street. A suspect had entered the bank and handed the bank teller a note demanding money. Between January 18 and March 13 the cities of Huntington Beach and Fountain Valley experienced a large number of residential burglaries during the nighttime hours. On Sunday March 3, 2013, at 3:30am, the Fountain Valley Police Department responded to another attempted residential burglary at the 10600 block of El Silbido. Suspect(s) unsuccessfully attempted to gain entry into a rear sliding door. Suspect(s) fled the scene when the homeowner turned on the interior lights to the residence.
