Robbery Suspects Arrested

On June 21, 2012 at 1044 hours, two male black suspects used a handgun to commit a robbery at JB Jewelry, located at 8888 Warner Avenue. During the robbery, the suspects bound and gagged a 72 year old female store clerk. The suspects fled the scene with $104,000 in jewelry. Fountain Valley, CA - The Fountain Valley Police Department Traffic Unit will be conducting a DUI/driver's license checkpoint on Friday, June 29, 2012, between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 3:00 a.m. The location of the checkpoint will be made available the day of the checkpoint by contacting the Police Department. Special Olympics Torch Run

On Friday June 8, 2012 at 10:55 a.m. the Fountain Valley Police Department will participate in the Special Olympics Torch Run by carrying the Torch through Fountain Valley on one leg of its journey. The Fountain Valley Police Department calls upon bicycle riders and motorists alike to be cautious during the month of June, and throughout the summer months. The total number of bicycle deaths in California has remained flat for the last two reporting years, while injuries have increased 4.6 percent. Investigation revealed Georgina Garcia responded to great grandmother's residence and took the 3yr old victim as a result of a custody dispute.
