Fatal Traffic Collision

On Friday, February 10, 2012, at 1231 hours, the Fountain Valley Police Department responded to a traffic collision in front of 11600 Warner. Officers arrived and located an unresponsive 89-year-old female victim, Hue Thi Dinh, who was struck by a vehicle. On January 18, 2012, at 1:00pm, a Fountain Valley resident in the area of the 9600 block of La Esperanza was victim of a residential burglary. Two of the suspects entered a neighboring rear yard, jumped over the property wall into the victim’s backyard and then entered the victim's residence. On December 30, 2011, the Fountain Valley Police Department responded to 17340 Santa Suzanne, Hisamatsu Tamura Elementary School, regarding a reported vandalism and burglary. Investigation revealed multiple suspects forced entry into the locked school. Once inside, approximately thirteen classrooms were accessed. The Fountain Valley Police Department has been awarded a new traffic safety grant for a year-long program aimed at preventing deaths and injuries on our roadways. SANTA ANA - A man has been arrested on charges of murdering his fiance by shooting her in the head after an argument over the defendant's other girlfriend. Philip Ngoc Nguyen, 25, Fountain Valley, is charged with one felony count of murder with sentencing enhancements for the personal use of a firearm and the personal use of a firearm causing death.
