Over the past few months, the City of Fountain Valley has experienced a rise in daytime residential burglaries. In the majority of these burglaries, suspects have made entry through a rear sliding door or window. Rear sliding doors have been pried as well as porcelain chips being used to shatter the glass. Fatal Traffic Collision

On Friday, February 10, 2012, at 1231 hours, the Fountain Valley Police Department responded to a traffic collision in front of 11600 Warner. Officers arrived and located an unresponsive 89-year-old female victim, Hue Thi Dinh, who was struck by a vehicle. On January 18, 2012, at 1:00pm, a Fountain Valley resident in the area of the 9600 block of La Esperanza was victim of a residential burglary. Two of the suspects entered a neighboring rear yard, jumped over the property wall into the victim’s backyard and then entered the victim's residence. On December 30, 2011, the Fountain Valley Police Department responded to 17340 Santa Suzanne, Hisamatsu Tamura Elementary School, regarding a reported vandalism and burglary.
