Fountain Valley High School Vandalism Suspects Arrested

On May 11, 2013, between the hours of 2:05 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. surveillance cameras captured video footage of multiple suspects jumping over the fence at Fountain Valley High School, which is a public school with a closed and gated campus. The suspects attempted to cut a padlock to the school’s snack bar but were unsuccessful in gaining entry. The suspects were successful in entering another school building by using force. After gaining entry, the suspects destroyed several trophies, pictures, and other miscellaneous property. Those items were then thrown into the school’s swimming pool.

After reviewing the video surveillance, three former Fountain Valley High School students were positively identified by school staff members. They were identified as: Nicholas Irwin (age 21) of Huntington Beach; Michael Ross (age 21) of Fountain Valley; and Karlo Cirson (age 21) of Westminster. On July 9, 2013, all three suspects were arrested and booked into Orange County Jail on felony vandalism charges. The estimated value of the damage to school property was $1,085.00 dollars.
