Collision Victim Succumbs to Injuries

On Monday, August 19, 2013 at 1227 hours, the Fountain Valley Police Department responded to a traffic collision which occurred at “The Tutoring Club”, located at 9985 Ellis Avenue.  The collision occurred when Peter Hauk, 76 years old of Huntington Beach, drove his 2011 Buick LaCrosse sedan from the parking lot through the front glass of the business.  The vehicle travelled completely into the business before coming to a stop. 
 
A total of six people were injured in the collision.  Five of the injured parties were transported to local hospitals where they were treated and released.
 
The most severely injured victim, Alex Martinez, 32 years old of Huntington Beach, was transported to a local trauma center with life threatening injuries.  Martinez remained in critical condition until he succumbed to his injuries on 8-21-13 at 7:15 am.
 
The cause of the collision is under investigation by the Fountain Valley Police Traffic Bureau. 
No charges have been filed and no arrest has been made at this time.
