ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECTS ARRESTED

On January 18, 2014 at 8:56 p.m. Fountain Valley Police officers responded to an armed robbery which had just occurred at a liquor store located in the 18000 block of Magnolia in Fountain Valley. Upon arrival, officers learned the suspect had brandished a firearm and fled with cash from the register. The clerk followed the suspect on foot and observed him enter a vehicle which was parked nearby and occupied by two other subjects. A description of the suspect vehicle was forwarded to other agencies.

A short time later an officer from the Huntington Beach Police Department saw a vehicle which matched the description provided. The vehicle was stopped and subsequently searched. The vehicle contained the stolen cash from the liquor store and an airsoft gun which had been spray painted black to conceal the orange tip. Brandon Bibbs (19) from Cypress, Shakial Boulton (20) from Cypress, and Jordan Morua (21) from La Palma were arrested for robbery and booked into Orange County Jail. Bibbs was identified via video surveillance as the suspect who is responsible for a prior armed robbery in Huntington Beach, Anaheim, as well as two additional robberies at the same liquor store in Fountain Valley.

The Orange County District Attorney’s Office filed five counts of robbery and one count of conspiracy against Bibbs who remains in custody on $250,000 bail. Morua and Boulton were charged with one count each of robbery and conspiracy. Both have since been released after posting $50,000 bail.
