Two Juveniles Arrested

On August 30, 2011, at 5:42 p.m., the Fountain Valley Police Department arrested two male juvenile suspects for firing a pneumatic BB pistol at vehicles. The two suspects were identified following an investigation into four vehicles being damaged by BBs between August 26 and August 30. Each of the four vehicles was traveling on Ellis Avenue between Magnolia and Bushard in the city of Fountain Valley. Three of the victims had windows shattered by the projectiles; the fourth vehicle had paint and body damage to the side of the car. Occupants in one of the vehicles (a small bus) were showered with glass, but no injuries have been reported. The investigation also identified three additional vehicles with windows that were shattered while parked in the Tiburon housing tract in the vicinity of Adobe River. Because of the danger to the occupants of the vehicles which were shot while traveling on Ellis, and the cost to repair the damages, the suspects were arrested for felony vandalism and for felony projecting objects at vehicles. The two juvenile suspects were arrested and later released to their parents from the Police Department. The crime is still under investigation by the Fountain Valley Police Department. Anyone with information or anyone who was victimized is requested to contact the FVPD Traffic Bureau at (714) 593-4481.
