City of Fountain Valley - Police Department PRESS RELEASE

On Wednesday, July 11, 2012, the Fountain Valley Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit arrested Humberto Serabia (1/18/89) for possession of narcotics for sale. Serabia also had an outstanding Federal RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization Act) warrant for his arrest. This warrant stemmed from operation “Black Flag” in 2011. Operation “Black Flag” was a multi-jurisdictional organized crime investigation.

SIU Detectives obtained a search warrant which was served on Friday, July 13, 2012, with the assistance of Santa Ana Police Department’s Gang Unit at Serabia’s residence in the City of Costa Mesa.

Alejandro Maldonado (8/18/89) was taken into custody at the residence for possession of narcotics for sale and destruction of evidence. Approximately one ounce of tar heroin, five grams of heroin in powder form, and $40,000.00 in U.S. currency was seized from the residence.
