FVPD LiveScan Fingerprinting

The California legislature, various public and private agencies have recognized the increased importance of fingerprint based criminal background checks for certain employment, licensing and certification purposes.  Fountain Valley Police Department is pleased to announce it will be offering Live Scan Fingerprinting services.  Live Scan is a system for the electronic submission of applicant fingerprints and the subsequent automated background check and response. 

Live Scan technology replaces the Police Department’s process of recording an individual’s fingerprints manually through the ink and card process.  Live Scan enables fingerprint data to be electronically transferred to central computers at the Department of Justice.

The rolling fee is $20.00 and payment can be made by cash or check.  Department of Justice fees are additional.  Appointments can be made by calling the Fountain Valley Police Department at 714-593-4485.
