FATAL TRAFFIC COLLISION | |
| On December 16th, 2009 at approximately 3:14 PM, Fountain Valley Police officers responded to a traffic collision on Euclid Street at intersection with the 405 Freeway offramp / Newhope Street. Preliminary investigation revealed a Lynch Ambulance van was transporting the 68 year old female victim to her residence in Huntington Beach when it was struck by two vehicles which were exiting the freeway onto Euclid. Following the initial collision, the ambulance overturned and collided with a fourth vehicle. The victim died of injuries at the collision scene. Three of the involved drivers were transported to local hospitals for non life-threatening injuries. The cause of the collision is under investigation by the Fountain Valley Police Department.
